This Thursday 10th July is the 2014 Camber Run/Jog/Walk in aid of the St Christopher’s Hospice in Sydenham. Organised by our running section, the event is one lap of Dulwich Park (just over 1 mile) and can be completed at whatever speed you choose – there will be some serious running, some leisurely walking and everything in between! It is staged every year in memory of Terry Philby, an ex-member of both the tennis and running sections, who was cared for by the Hospice before he passed away.

There is no entry fee but donations will be collected on the night (suggested £5, but more is welcome). We will meet at the club at 7.15 and walk over to the Park for a 7.30 start. The runners will also be organising food afterwards at a bargain price – still to be calculated but no more than £5 a head with reductions for under 18s. There will of course also be the opportunity to play some tennis.

There’s no need to sign up for the run – please just turn up on the night to support a fantastic cause. But if you would like food it would be helpful if you could email Helen from the runners on Helen.stephen so she can judge the catering.

Hope to see you there, Chris
