25 July 2015 saw the formal opening of the new clubhouse – and what a great day it was. Fantastic to see the clubhouse packed with everyone from our youngest juniors to our longest standing members. Lots of ex-members came back too – some hadn’t played at Camber for 40 years – and we had visitors from as far afield as Newcastle and Bristol.

Star of the show though was undoubtedly Greg Rusedski – what a lovely guy, I don’t think there’s a single photo in three hours that doesn’t have him smiling! And he can certainly still hit a tennis ball too.

The best set of pictures I have seen are here, from Liz Somerville, but if you have some on the web somewhere send the link to chris@www.tennis-at-camber.org and I’ll put a link up on this page.

Don’t forget the official history of Camber is now on sale – £15 and all profits go to the club. Email Chris as above or drop into the club if you’d like to buy a copy.
