Poker Night

The baize is ironed, the chips are counted and the poker faces are being practised. Welcome to Camber’s poker night. All standards are welcome: there will be instructions for new players followed by a friendly ‘double chance’ tournament. £12 gets you a meal and entry to the tournament (with prizes). Double Bill – American Tournament…

A one-day mix-around doubles tournament to celebrate (or, if you prefer, avoid) the royal wedding. All standards play together and the system has a degree of in-built handicapping (although not, this time, featuring Champagne!). Followed by…

Also we have been invited to put together a table for the neighbouring cricket club’s Quiz Night on Friday (22 July) which features one of their famous curries (the tempting aromas of which will be well known to anyone who has played on court 2 on a relevant Friday). £10 per head including food and quiz entry, 8pm kick off. We are putting together a team please respond if you would like to be included.

Camber’s Grand Annual BBQ

This Saturday (23 July) evening sees Camber’s Grand Annual BBQ. The weather looks set to improve, but even if it doesn’t we will find a way to cook and serve some fine fare. Festivities will begin at around 7.30 but feel free to come down for some tennis beforehand/during if you want to make a day of it. Please respond to this email if you are coming (and if you are bringing any guests) so that we have enough food... Likely cost £10 per adult / £5 12+ / U12 free.
