We are excited to announce that Greg Rusedski will be at Camber on 25 July 2015 for the formal opening of the new clubhouse. The full schedule of events for the day is:

14:00 – 15:00 – Members and guests arrive – courts available for junior play.

15:00 – VIPs arrive. Greg Rusedski will be around to sign autographs and chat to members and guests.

15:30 – Formal ceremony – Greg will unveil a plaque to mark the opening of the clubhouse. This will also mark the launch of the new book which tells Camber’s story over the last 100+ years – signed copies available!

16:00 – 17:30 – Greg will play exhibition games against club members and guests – this could be you! We are also hoping to have a high-level wheelchair tennis demonstration.

17:30 – Greg will set a service speed using a speed gun. Members and guests will then have the chance to see how close to his speed they can get!

17:30 – Hog roast will be served (vegetarian options available). Courts available for general play.

21:30 until late – DJ in the clubhouse

The bar will be open throughout the day, serving the usual range of drinks including three Shepherd Neame real ales. Commemorative t-shirts will also be on sale.

This really is a day not to be missed – it’s likely to be the biggest in Camber’s history and we are expecting extensive local pres coverage.

Non-members and those interested in finding out more about the club are welcome: please email chris@www.tennis-at-camber.org for ticket information. Entry is free.
