Camber is taking part in the LTA’s Great British Tennis Weekends, which aim to encourage new or lapsed players to pick up a racquet and play for free at courts near them. From our point of view this is also a perfect opportunity to acquire some new members!

Camber is opening up its courts to prospective new members at various times over the weekend of 21-22 June and again on Sunday 29 June. Take a look at our public sign-up page to see what we’ve got planned: https://clubhouse.lta.org.uk/OpenDays/CamberLTC

Mark Challen is running the Saturday morning men’s doubles, which will be the usual session plus a handful of new people.

Sarah Savage is running the Saturday afternoon women’s doubles session from 3-6pm. If you’ve not already been in touch with Sarah ( sarah.sav@hotmail.co.uk) to say you’re coming then please do so (indicating whether you’ll be bringing cake!).

On Sunday 22nd and Sunday 29th club play will happen as usual but will be opened up to non-members. Club play on the 22nd will be followed by a Fernando special BBQ from 5pm.  The BBQ will cost £8 a head for adult members and £5 for under 18sPlease email Fernando (f.chehtman@gmail.combefore Wednesday 18 June  if you’d like food so he can get sufficient stocks in.

Should be a fun couple of weekends for members and new people alike, as well as a great opportunity to show off our brand new courts. A big part of Camber’s appeal is its friendly people so we hope to see lots of you there!
