The date of the clubhouse opening draws ever nearer – early May is the best estimate. As you’ll recall we have agreed to do the decorating ourselves to save a £5,000 bill from the builders. The first round of this needs to be done this weekend as we need to undercoat the doors and paint the walls behind the radiators before they are installed.
So, we are organising working parties for three hours (10.00 to 13.00) on both Friday and Saturday this weekend, 3rd and 4th of April. Ideally we’d have half-a-dozen or so people at each. All materials will be provided and we’ll pull together a bite to eat afterwards as usual. You’ll also of course get a sneak preview of how the building is looking with the main ceiling up and most of the plastering complete. Main reward though is the club’s undying appreciation.
